As we have grown, our commitment to the environment has deepened and evolved: how can we do better, become an even more responsible brand, and genuinely reshape the codes of fashion? It is with pride and conviction that we introduce our first eco-responsible shirts, reaffirming our commitments.
Just another marketing claim? Let us explain!

A year after our first upcycled boxer shorts, we are delighted to introduce our collection of shirts crafted entirely from organic materials. From raw fibres to buttons, tailoring to compostable packaging (an achievement we share in this article), our shirts were designed without compromise.
We worked with the Albini Group, a major and innovative name in the textile industry, with whom we have collaborated since our beginnings in 2012. As our most prestigious supplier, they were perfectly placed to understand our goals and requirements. The group's resources—a vertically integrated supply chain, traceability across its fabrics, and responsible workshops—ensure that we work exclusively with materials grown and processed in an entirely eco-friendly manner.
Linen is a naturally eco-friendly fibre, requiring very little water and pesticides to grow
We chose olive wood buttons, as much for their aesthetic appeal as for environmental reasons, since the wood is grown in France. To take our approach all the way through, we worked with TIPA to develop new biodegradable and fully compostable packaging for our organic models. This packaging will gradually replace the current packaging on all our shirts.

Our organic cotton shirt, or our reinterpretation of the classic formal white shirt. Crafted in a slim fit with a soft hidden-button collar, we designed a timeless piece—the kind of staple you never want to take off. Organically grown and GOTS-certified, the cotton is lightweight and genuinely soft, ideal for every season.
GOTS? That stands for Global Organic Textile Standard. This certification provides consumers with a reliable guarantee regarding the organic origin of the textiles they buy. How? To quote: "The aim of the standard is to define world-wide recognised requirements that ensure organic status of textiles, from harvesting of the raw materials, through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing up to labelling in order to provide a credible assurance to the end consumer."
An organically grown cotton, cultivated without pesticides and woven in Italy in the Albini workshops. We chose the natural colour of the cotton (pre-washed) without using dyes or bleaching agents that require chemical substances. For the finishing touches, we selected Italian corozo buttons, also known as "vegetable ivory"—a first for Hast!

Our organic linen shirt, or a return to fundamentals. A relaxed fit offering great freedom of movement (ready to take action?) and a 100% organic linen fabric (our very first style crafted entirely from linen). Once again, our linen is GOTS-certified.
In addition to helping regulate body temperature, linen is a naturally eco-friendly fibre, requiring very little water and pesticides to grow. The linen used for our model was sustainably grown in Normandy before being woven in Italy. We chose to retain the natural colour of the linen for a more authentic character and to minimise our environmental footprint.

More than just shirts, these are conscious steps forward. We are challenging ourselves to gradually transform the way we produce, offering alternatives truly in tune with our times.
