Made in Kleman’s historic workshops in Cholet, this entirely French-made shoe is crafted from Italian vegetable-tanned leather, lined with calfskin and set on a thick, side-stitched recycled rubber sole. Every detail reflects the same conviction: make things close to home, with care and exacting standards.

A pair made to last
Kleman’s story began in 1945, when René Cléon made shoes in a small workshop near Angers that would go on to supply the SNCF, Air France and the French army. Footwear made for practical use, which became a style in its own right without ever setting out to be one.
Hast was founded in 2012 with the shirt at its heart, before expanding its range. We share the same conviction: well-made pieces, carefully chosen fabrics, production close to home, and clothes that only get better with wear.
From this meeting comes a pair of shoes simple to describe and difficult to make: locally made, traceable and designed to last.
