A meeting of minds: Hast’s exacting standards and Kleman’s craftsmanship
At Hast, our philosophy has always been clear: to offer you lasting, well-cut pieces made without compromising on quality. When it came to creating our ideal autumn–winter shoe, partnering with the Cléon factory, parent company of Kleman, was the natural choice.
A historic workshop in the heart of Anjou
For decades, Kleman’s craftspeople have made work and utility footwear near Cholet, in La Romagne, renowned for its legendary durability. With the same precise techniques and exacting standards passed down through generations, Kleman embodies the tradition of 100 % Made in France.
From mountain footwear to the urban wardrobe
Inspired by the traditional hiking boot (the mountain walking boot), this collaboration reworks its utilitarian character into a design with a distinctive, contemporary look. The result? A shoe with character that trades rugged peaks for city pavements without losing any of its original durability.

Rather than buying new pairs every season, we believe in a good pair of shoes that lasts for years. Every component of this design has been chosen with meticulous care.
Vegetable-tanned leather that develops a patina over time
Made from Italian vegetable-tanned grained leather, this low-cut hiking boot does not wear out against its wearer: it ages with him. Over the months, the leather softens, takes on beautiful tones and develops a unique patina. Inside, a supple calfskin lining moves with you from the first day, without a hint of stiffness.
Side-stitched construction and a recycled rubber sole
For maximum longevity, the sole is not simply glued on (a method all too often prone to coming loose after a few months of wear). Instead, it has a side-stitched construction, strong and time-tested. Made from recycled rubber, this lugged sole offers excellent grip and lasting resistance to winter weather.
