Another, more understated advantage of pleated trousers is their great comfort. These trousers feature extra fabric at the waist and upper thigh, making them particularly comfortable when seated.
What are pleated trousers?
A pleat is a fold of fabric stitched just below the belt line. Trousers have either one pleat or two pleats. At Hast, we offer both styles.
Furthermore, pleats can face outwards, which is more modern and what we offer, or inwards.
Finally, pleats should not be confused with the central crease of trousers. Trousers can be pleated with or without a central crease. For instance, our slim fit trousers feature a central crease but no pleats.

The choice is first between single or double pleats (which we at Hast call double-pleat trousers). Single-pleat trousers are slightly more classic than double-pleat trousers, which make a somewhat bolder style statement.
