In menswear, there are garments you wear out of habit, and others that truly elevate you. At Hast, our mission has always been to offer the best value for money, but with this new collection of six exclusive pieces, we wanted to push technical excellence even further. By combining the historic craftsmanship of Thomas Mason with cutting-edge textile innovation, we designed shirts tailored for the modern man, whose daily life admits no compromise between style and comfort.
The history of Thomas Mason
To appreciate the true value of this collection, one must look to the source of its raw materials. Thomas Mason is no ordinary fabric mill; it is a living legend of the textile industry.
A centuries-old British heritage
Founded in 1750 in Lancashire, Thomas Mason became the beating heart of British elegance as early as the Regency era. A true pillar of the gentleman's wardrobe, it earned its pedigree by becoming the go-to supplier for Savile Row tailors. It dressed the greatest icons of dandyism, such as Beau Brummell, and even had the honour of supplying the British Royal Household.
Where heritage meets modernity
Joining the Italian Albini Group in 1992 allowed the brand to seamlessly unite two centuries of historical archives with Italian technological innovation. Today, Thomas Mason is trusted by the finest luxury houses because its fabrics offer more than just beauty: they develop even greater character and comfort over time. It is this yarn expertise, particularly in two-ply spinning, that allows us to offer fabrics of unmatched fineness and durability.
Anti-Crease Formula+ technology
Formal elegance is all too often associated with stiffness and unsightly creasing from the very first hour. To address this, we selected the innovative Journey technology, also known as Anti-Crease Formula+.
Impeccable style from morning to night
Thanks to this advanced process, our shirts stand the test of time. They stay crisp and fresh throughout the day, giving you the luxury of looking impeccable without ever worrying about creases.
It is important to note that we favour a wrinkle-free approach rather than no-iron. A high-quality shirt always requires a little care, but the aim here is to dramatically simplify your daily routine. After washing, the smooth fabric allows for hanger-drying with minimal creasing, making ironing extremely quick and easy.
Exceptional materials
The secret of a premium shirt lies in the fineness and construction of its yarn. Here are the three fabrics we selected for this range, ordered by their level of refinement.
70/1 Twill: accessible sophistication
The 70/1 yarn count designates a very fine yarn (70) used in a single-ply (1) construction. This type of yarn yields a cleaner, smoother, and more refined surface, lending the fabric a particularly elegant appearance. The 70/1 twill thus produces a fine, soft fabric that is delightful to wear and offers excellent breathability. The selected cotton fibres are "extra-long staple" (ELS), measuring at least 3.5 cm, allowing for smoother, stronger, and more uniform yarns. Incredibly comfortable, this fabric is ideal for formal shirts blending comfort and sophistication.

Journey 80/2: the perfect balance
An 80/2 yarn count indicates an exceptionally fine yarn (80), resulting in a lighter fabric with a smoother hand. The number 2 signifies a two-ply yarn: two single yarns twisted together to create a stronger, more consistent thread. Journey Pinpoint sits perfectly between poplin and twill, offering a dense texture that is both elegant and subtly textured. Sturdier than poplin and dressier than classic Oxford, it holds a handsome structure while remaining supple.

100/2 Twill: absolute excellence
This is the pinnacle of our range. The Journey Twill 100/2 fabric uses an exceptionally fine yarn, offering a silky, ultra-soft feel against the skin. While a 100/1 single-ply yarn would be too delicate, the two-ply construction (100/2) represents luxury made wearable for everyday life, combining extreme fineness with durability. The twill structure provides body and hold, with an elegant diagonal weave and a clean drape, making it ideal for distinguished dress shirts.

The Easy Iron treatment
Beyond aesthetics, the quality of a Hast premium shirt lies in its environmentally conscious manufacturing process. The "Easy Iron" treatment we apply is innovative and natural, developed without formaldehyde-based solutions.
The journey of our fabrics follows a rigorous European path: the yarn is first spun and woven in Italy to guarantee maximum precision. The fabric rolls are then sent to Belgium to a specialist partner with a facility unique in Europe, certified Oeko-Tex and guaranteeing the absence of harmful substances. Here, an anti-crease treatment is applied through ultra-low-temperature immersion for controlled fibre relaxation—a clean process in which all agents are purified and recycled. Finally, a dedicated finishing process is carried out in Switzerland to keep fibres tight and parallel, enhancing the fabric's stability and appearance.
Finishes worthy of haute chemiserie
Crafted with meticulous care in Lithuania, this collection honours the highest standards of fine shirtmaking. Every detail has been considered to accentuate the formal, elevated character of each piece, from genuine mother-of-pearl buttons to delicate Zampa di Gallina stitching.
Whether you opt for the bold character of the wide spread collar or the balanced modernity of the semi-cutaway, you are wearing far more than a shirt: you are wearing two centuries of craftsmanship.
