A MODERN INTERPRETATION
Military pants are a
garment with a rich history. Originally designed to withstand extreme conditions, they have now been stylishly repurposed to become a fully-fledged casual piece. At Hast, we've retained their functional spirit while stripping away excesses: discreet pockets, a fluid cut, and a sturdy yet comfortable canvas. It's in the Vosges, at Velcorex—a French leader in technical textiles and velvet—that we woven this beautiful cotton canvas that structures our casual pants. The result: a garment with controlled volume, both comfortable and elegant, that retains its shape over time.
HOW TO WEAR CASUAL PANTS?
With their loose fit and slightly textured material, these
pants lend themselves to many combinations. For an urban look, pair them with a plain
t-shirt and a pair of sneakers. For a more assertive silhouette, you can wear them with a
casual shirt or a
work jacket , in neutral or earthy tones. In summer, they will pair perfectly with a linen t-shirt or a short-sleeved shirt; in winter, slip on a
wool sweater for an outfit that is both warm and structured.
MAINTENANCE AND DURABILITY
Like all our pieces, these casual pants are designed to last. To maintain the quality of the fabric, we recommend machine washing at 30° and a moderate spin cycle at 400/600. Air drying on a clothesline is preferred, and gentle ironing will be enough to restore the fabric's shape after washing. Thanks to the quality of the weave and the controlled dyeing, the pants retain their fit and color wash after wash.
