Spring is one of those times of year when it can be especially difficult to find the right balance in terms of clothing. From one day to the next, everything can change. Sometimes we need technical parts that resist wind and rain. Then on sunny days, lighter clothing, which is easy to put on, is sought after. Making a jacket for sunny days requires finding the right balance between a material that is comfortable to wear and which covers you without constraining you.
In this sense, our linen and cotton work jacket fulfills its role perfectly. Computer screens have their limits, and some explanations are necessary regarding the material chosen for the creation of this jacket.
It is a canvas with thick threads and a relatively airy weave – and therefore ideal for dissipating heat – while having sufficient density to block the breeze. The threads are composed of 80% linen and 20% cotton, allowing good thermoregulation, but also excellent resistance over time, linen being a resistant fiber which does not tend to deform (linen and hemp are among the oldest fibers cultivated in textiles). In short: this jacket was designed in a high quality material, made to be worn repeatedly.

The workshop that manufactured this canvas is a particularly responsible Italian company, with strong commitments, such as the reuse of wastewater, electricity from solar energy, and the development of more environmentally friendly materials, thanks to recycling of materials.

The material – which here is a linen and cotton canvas and not a cotton twill – however modifies the general appearance of this jacket: more flexible, lighter and more sophisticated too. The patch pockets have been replaced by bellows pockets, of Saharan inspiration. They are aesthetic, but also very practical when it comes to carrying keys, card holders, lighter and telephone.
