Wool coats and quality coats are winter essentials. To keep them looking impeccable season after season, they deserve a little attention. No need to worry: with a few simple tips, you can extend their life and preserve their lustre. Here is a quick guide to caring for your coat and keeping it looking like new for years!

Where should you store it?
The coat is sturdy but somewhat delicate. Use thick hangers to preserve the shape of the shoulders and avoid unwanted creases. After a day in the rain, leave it to dry flat before hanging it up to dry completely. As wool is a living material, avoid distorting it by hanging it improperly or overloading the pockets.
Our little extra: to limit washing, invest in a special wool brush to remove dust and keep your coat looking as good as ever.
Washing
First of all, make sure it can be machine-washed. Otherwise, opt for hand washing. If water is not suitable for your coat, take it to the dry cleaner and entrust it to professionals! To make it last longer, we recommend washing your wool coat twice a year: once in the middle of the season, if you wear it regularly and it starts to lose its lustre, and once at the end of the season before storing it away, to make room for your summer clothes.
Drying
After washing by hand or machine, it is important never to twist or wring out your wool coat, as this could distort the fibres. To remove excess water, roll the coat in a clean towel and press gently without stretching it.
To dry it, lay your coat flat on a clean, absorbent surface, such as a towel or drying mat. It is important not to hang it on a hanger while it is still wet, as this could alter its shape and stretch the wool.
With these simple steps, your wool coat will serve you well for years to come!
