In Italian, Alba nuova means “New Dawn”. More than a sunrise, it is a promise. The magic of the first light after a long night. That fleeting moment when nature, at daybreak, awakens and stretches before the light reclaims its place.
On the cusp of spring, we wanted to pay tribute to this idea of renewal with the Alba nuova collection. A luminous, sunlit selection, resolutely shaped by tenderness, the art of living and delicacy.
A bridge between two seasons, two worlds, two universes. An introduction.
The dolce vita according to HAST
Since 2012, we have developed, with passion and responsibility, exceptional garments designed for everyday life. Attentive to style and mindful of the world, we create exacting, timeless collections by carefully selecting the finest natural and recycled materials.
Beneath its dawn-like modesty, our Alba nuova collection is no exception: within it, you will discern an ode to European craftsmanship, a reverence for artisanal work and a celebration of elegance freed from injunctions.
In this first act, we invite you to discover pieces of undeniable charm, blending - as is our custom - tailoring influences with subtle ease. Balanced between irreverence and sophistication, our creations dance between light and shade, halfway between tradition and modernity. Bathed in sunlight in the unique atmosphere of Villa Magnan, they evoke in unison a certain idea of dolce vita.
Alba nuova, the story of a rebirth
Between the lines of this new chapter, you will read a story woven in warp and weft through exclusive fabrics brimming with character. Among them, a trio of cloths stands out:
- The Fresco. This pure merino wool fabric uses twisted yarns spun according to a process known as “High twist”. The combination of a naturally thermoregulating fibre, high-twist spinning and a relatively open weave creates a dry, supple cloth with an impeccable drape. An incredibly airy fabric that makes it possible to wear breathable suits throughout the summer.
- Ripstop. Instantly recognisable, this windowpane fabric incorporates thicker reinforcing threads into the grid of its weave at regular intervals. Designed to prevent and contain snags, these reinforcements gave Ripstop its name, literally meaning “Stop tears”. We love its texture and graphic quality, which is why we wanted you to enjoy it too.
New season, new elegance
You may have noticed that our spring-summer 2025 collection unveils a new silhouette. Marked by an unmistakable tailoring heritage, it revisits structured cuts through a more fluid approach, wholeheartedly turned towards warmer days.
With quiet assurance, waxed cotton outerwear, contrast-collar jackets, wide-leg trousers, mid-season knitwear and signature shirts together redefine a thoroughly modern elegance. A distinction shaped by maritime and oceanic influences, directly inspired by Riviera style in its volumes and colours.
Timelessness guides the new elegance embodied by our Alba Nuova collection, transcending fashions and trends to assert clean lines without austerity, pure cuts without rigidity and an ethereal aesthetic without nonchalance.
At the hour when the countryside turns white
While our new Alba Nuova collection makes room for a refreshing vision of spring elegance, it naturally remains faithful to the foundations of the HAST wardrobe you have come to know.
Since 2012, our ethos has rested on two pillars you know well: the use of fine natural fibres and close collaboration with Europe’s finest garment-making workshops.
Like the rest of our creations, the pieces unveiled with Alba Nuova are made entirely from natural or recycled raw materials. Likewise, the vast majority are produced by European partners renowned for their expertise and the quality of their work. Only some of our work jackets are made outside the European Union, by Tunisian partners with whom we have worked for many years.
Spring with spring
Combining delicacy with a confident character, the pieces in the Alba Nuova collection bring together breathable fabrics and generous cuts to dress the warmer days in the finest way. While we await the return of spring (impatiently), we offer you a small selection of the pieces that have won over the HAST team:
- The 100% cotton striped work jacket. A light ground, vertical stripes and an emerald-green contrast collar, two handsome patch pockets: it took no more to set the team’s hearts racing. This long-sleeved piece has something inexplicably alluring about it. Don’t you think?
- The 100% wool Fresco suit. There comes a time when warm wool suits must hibernate, and that is when Fresco makes its appearance. All the benefits of wool without the drawback of warmth: that is its promise, to keep you elegant above 20°C.
- The 85% cotton, 15% linen ripstop overshirt. The overshirt is an interesting piece both stylistically and in terms of thermal performance. Though often overlooked, it is a valuable ally in mid-season. Crafted in such a rich and original fabric, it becomes indispensable.
Of course, all our shirts - whether formal or casual - also catch our eye, but we are not very objective on that point. The shirt has been at the heart of the HAST wardrobe from the very beginning, and we will always have a particular attachment to this cornerstone of menswear.
